Solar Installation

PLANNING PERMISSION:

This is normally only needed if the installation is ground mounted on a listed building or in a National Park.  If you are unsure about your need for planning permission please call your local planning department or check the Planning Portal Guidance for ‘Domestic Solar’ or ‘non-domestic solar’

Many aspects are taken into consideration for an installation project, such as, roof pitch, orientation, shading, panel performance, panel degradation, inverter performance, local weather data, efficiency of storage systems (batteries), the amount of electricity you use and when you use it.  Any one of these variables can have a surprising impact on the benefits to you.  You need to be aware whilst Installation is going ahead, disruptions will be kept to as low a level as possible, there will be scaffolding up. access to your consumer unit will be needed and cables will need to be run.

Depending on the Solar System you choose a designated site will be chose for the inverter, controls and monitoring units, as well as the batteries (Hybrid and Off-Grid Solar Systems).
